When will manufacturers accept 50w is just not sufficient????

All the time people buy them, they'll make them sadly. It's way easier to just repackage a clone.

More 50watt based stuff .

I feel bad for the newbs these days coming into the hobby. With the battery technology on the market today the charger situation needs addressing!.

Only good for doing 1 pair of 2s anything else forget it. Puts people off when they buy an rtr and batts, get duped into chargers that barely do the job, then presto, they leave the hoddy which has an impact on the whole thing. It infuriates me to say the least.

 

I mean for the only just over the same £100 you can get a psu from Robotbitds and a decent charger from Hobbyking and get at least 3 times the power! Come on please!

(Although you'd need a parallel board but hey you could just get a single 4s then which a 50w won't do great)

Its not a 50W charger - its a 100W charger with the option to split that between two channels. Its doesn't even have to be split 50/50, you can send 80w to the top channel and 20w to the lower one, which is ideal for example charging a transmitter and a main pack at the same time. Also remember Corally is a racing focused company so the main market here will be charging multiple 2S or even 1S packs of relatively small size.

If your heats are less than 30 mins apart tho you'd be a little stuffed I reckon.

Not really - you don't use even close to full capacity in a race. Normally only takes 15-20 mins to top up.
