  2. Grab your receipt....brush up on the Sale of Goods Act .... and get back there for a refund. 1) Odds on that is not a new piece of gear...it's been modded and had at least the connectors replaced. no factory ever shipped soldering that bad. Not even the cheap Chinese toy grade stuff. A bit of heat shrink would sort that...but they didn't bother 2) Based on the age of the stuff, it's been sat around fora long time! 3) I would say for sure it's been fitted into something, probably a plane ... which would explain both the chopped back wiring and the removal of the plastic outer. That's the sort of thing you would do to fit it into a very tight space. 4) It clearly doesn't work properly, and is either knackered or just totally unfit for the use you are putting it to. Unless the guy sold it to you for a fiver as something he had 'lying around' that might sort you out .... and if he didn't tell you anything about the stuff done to it...then he's got a bit of explaining to do!

  3. Iv sent him a video of me doing what i said at the top, it comes straight off no bother, pull the horn in line with the bar, it will only go one way then lift it and you'll ear a click, first bend, and then its off the second bend, lol! Its not difficult, its just the same as a few throttle linkages that was on some old bikes very similar anyways Servo horn removel: this is a baja im working on at the minute, its not mine!

  4. I recently caved an got back into RC when I saw a Vorza going for a decent price on ebay. I'd wanted one for the speed when I was first playing with RC's again, but I couldn't justify the expense. As most will know, it isn't that easy to resist when you see something though! It was only when I searched on the MSUK forums for some other Vorza's that I found the Hobbytech DS3 shell on one in the "Show us you Buggy" thread. It was almost as if I was supposed to own this car - because I was instantly reminded of this thread: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/163571-hobbytech-18-citroen-ds3-rally-body-shell/?hl=hobbytech I think you can see where this is going! So this is the plan: A lot of work will be needed - I can't get in touch with the bloke on here who did the previous conversion to find how he made his body mounts, but I am looking forward to this one. If I can do it justice, I may even get it signed by Liam himself at the World Rallycross event at Lydden in May. Here is the base and the shell roughly placed over it. I had to source the shell from Spain as there are not many left about. I can't screw it up! And here are the wheels I chose. Pretty impressed. Asia tees are awesome! Delivered in about a week and very cheap! I hope this is not clogging up the board. I think people can probably tell I am quite excited!

  10. I've ordered myself an X12 ... they look cute and are just silly cheap If you are feeling flush...there is always the Blade Pico QX. Supposed to be pretty good.

  11. I've found them good on longer grass, and for trails etc when it's a bit wetter and looser. Wear has been fine, though I've never taken them on anything hard/abrasive - I doubt they'd last long on tarmac / concrete. I've got a 1/10 SC, though being a Maverick it's a little on the small side, I'm indoor racing on carpet with it atm as the weather's been what it has, though it was bought for offroad cheap fun so will be looking at new tyres sooner or later - these are prob a bit bigger than stock, though my brushless system is geared pretty low so the bigger diameter shouldn't be an issue (80a/3300kv HK job). If the WPSC8 / Leopard 3665 doesn't sell I may try it in the Maverick.... on 4S - though I doubt the fun will last!

  16. X4 V2 is great fun, if he can fly a heli he should take to it well. Be prepared to change motors yourself though Jim, i've had one burn out in prob 2hrs flight time (not crash damage). Parts via banggood are tres cheap, just order a crash pack and spare props in advance.

  17. Took it for a test drive on Sunday and bloody hell it's good I thought with the extra weight it would struggle a bit but it proved me wrong it jumps better, handles better when driving over bumpy ground, crawls good too over all a success. Roll on the next build Here's a few pics Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. Bit more progress. The body mounting has been sorted out. At the front built a channel where the front cross-member slots into. At the rear built a locating block that the rear of the frame fits around and then used a small servo arm screwed into the block. The arm rotates to clamp the cross-member in place. The body fits on or off in a couple of seconds and no unsightly body posts. John

  23. Mr VRS - did you buy all available stock from somewhere, to make a few quid, or make a mistake by adding couple of zero's to your order....? The Losi XXL's are so easy to spanner on compared with other MT.

  26. Got to agree they are great cars, prefer the MX5 myself but it goes without saying they are both very much recognised as girly cars. But why should that bother you if you enjoy it? That being said, what response did you expect from a male dominated forum such as this where the majority of us are very much into our cars, the ridicule was inevitable Also just to join in

  27. Same seller as last time, visited his site on 15/01. Doesn't actually list that combo on the site...dubious, IMO. Very poor show indeed, to the vat with him and his shoddy back stock selling!!!

  33. Found it, it's not a fake. Looks like it was produced / cloned off a schulze future esc: It doesn't seem to have a lvc for lipo , though a 2S lipo shouldn't have overvolted it. It looks to date to around 2003 and part number seems to be ORN63000 or ORI63000 or 630001 for a pro version. The shoddy labeling probably suggests they just bought and repacked the schulze, If it is the schulze it's not very powerful relative to modern stuff, and the lack of fan or even decent heatsink suggests it needed to be placed in a large amount of airflow. That it's a dual purpose air/land only further supports this. It seemed to have a rrp of

  35. I think it's the moving rider that gives them the cool factor. Not perfect by any means but a really nice rc bike model. Still a huge following for these in Japan. Some of the mods they do are fantastic.
