Mtroniks storm ESC's

has anyone tried Mtroniks new line of lipo compatable storm ESC's if so what are your thoughts. I tried one of the new rock C esc's in my crawler, same as several others on the crawling forum with disapointing results. (sent back), but i really fancy a lipo compatable waterproof esc to run in one of my scalers, limited access means i want something with lipo cutt off built in.

Have used mtroniksstuff i the past but the problems with the last ESC from the same range kind of put me off a bit. Trouble is i dont know what else is about the has lipo cutt off and is waterproof.

any thoughts???

Tamiya Wheel & Tyre glue help

I'm part way through building my Tamiya M-05 Pro kit - it's all going well so far!

But from looking at the instructions in the wheel/tyre section I'm not totally clear on what's required.

a) It mentions "Wipe tyre surface with detergent or 53417 Rubber Tire Application Primer before attaching". Is this totally necessary?
It says to apply "instant cement" to glue the wheel and tyre together, can this be regular household superglue?
c) It says to apply "synthetic rubber cement" to stick the inner sponge to the tyre, where can I get this from, or what can be used instead?

Regards
Matt

T Maxx Charger

Hi Guys

Just got a T maxx yesterday from the forum, turned up and everything worked and started fine .. great!

the only problem (of sorts) is it has a hump pack instead of the 4 AA's, my problem is that none of my other hump pack chargers fit the connection, it appears to be the same sort of connection that you plug into the radio gear?

I will try and get a pic up later if what i have just explained makes no sense at all! lol

cheers for any help

Tyres for 1:10 leccy TC?

Sorry about the vague title, but it's the best that fits in the alotted characters..

Need two sets of tyres really for different conditions. Don't want to spend too much per set if possible (is it ever?) and they must be easy to get hold of

1: Tarmac tyres. As hard wearing as possible. reasonable grip would be nice too

2: off road type tyres, for loose dirt, crushed hardcore, solid dirt, bits of shale pathways, etc.. possibly gravel type surfaces, again must be relatively hard wearing on these surfaces. I like the price of Kyosho's Rally Block tyres.

This is for an extremely light, pretty fast model with plenty of ground clearance running tc rims.. i need basher tyres

Killed A Esc?

Was giving my rustler a bash today on the local field all of sudden im getting next to no speed at all, so i check it all over restart it etc and can't get t working.

Take it home checked the connections all seemed fine the motor still runs but it's a 9t ezrun and the speed has dropped a lot, so im guessing it's dead or about to die right?

Now my next problem i've got another 5.5t ezrun in another rustler thought i'd take it out and pop it in mine with a novatech 75a esc (9t was running on this too) and im getting like a beeping noise then if i move the pinion it'll kick in with me squeezing the throttle then i let go and the same happens again.

So i tried the 5t on the ezrun esc and no problems at all, is the 75a esc dead/on it's way out? it was cutting out last week due to heat issues but it's worked fine since?

any suggestions or comments or anything really basically need to know if the 75a esc is on it's way out so i don't try another motor on it etc ]

Hey all!
My uncle would like to know if there is any kits that fit and allow front discs on a FTX punisher? The normal stock ones are a bit mushy he says.
Prefer Cable brakes and not too pricey either.

The only option he found would of cost 300 quid plus.
