cyclone pro has made so many threads mine is nearly on the 2nd page. Not happening. I have more pics to post tomorrow!

Bought the instruction manual from ebay...cost me 4 quid! But should be worth it if I can get this car going again!

Have you got the box? Or the manual? Your looking for a Kyosho GP Spider MKII. Spare parts are really hard to find for these things at the moment it seems. It's a proper old car.

I am sure they did a McLaren body yes. Could you take some pics of the car with the shell off? I'll tell you if it is the same car. If you don't know how to post them here let me know and I'll give you my email address.

Do you think he might want to sell it on if it's too hard for him to find bits?

Modelsport stuff....half a bottle in the garage. Must be well off by now! This car makes me think after run oil is a farce? We'll see when I get the engine apart.

Hey

I have exactly the same car and have also just recleaned it after haveing it sittin in the garage for couple of years. But ive got a thunder tiger evo 12 engine in it wich melted my brake and took the teeeth of the drive gear. Due to the fact that the parts are no longer avalible i have been makeing them my self because i have access to lathe etc.

Hope you get it running its great fun

I'm almost tempted to get really hardcore and shorten my chassis to fit my Tamiya Taisan Porsche body to it. Could easily keep msot parts and get new top and bottom deckmade. So tempting!

Ahh, a model engineer perfect kind of bloke for the job.You could even mill out some extra holes to make the chassis lighter, maybe make some nice machined up shock towers...

Hey

Thought i show you some of the pictures of my kypsho Mk 11 all working now i had to make new drive gear and brake on the milling machine and lathe. As you can see in the pic the aluminium gear seems to have had the teeth removed by the engine agen. Any people got any ideas why they keep on being warn away?????. I thought about makeing a steel outer gear with a aluminium center. I also made a flywheel for the engine rather than having a pull start and allows me to start the car with ease. But the thunder tiger engine produces sooo much power the back wheel tend to come off when accelerating lol.

Ahh that's my chassis! Nice to see someone else with it. I got the instruction book through the post today from ebay. Should help putting it back together and getting bits for it.

Also got the BBS style split rims today to go with the porsche GT 2 shell. Well happy!

Today I took apart the entire rear suspension and diff. Tomorrow after it's cleaned up more and re-greased I will put it back together.

Should get some build progress pics up as well.

Good news the instruction manual has the spare parts and hop up list included!

Got it all back together. Might get some pics up of that. I have the Porsche Taisan shell ready for painting. Going to chop 37mm out of the Kyosho chassi so I can use the porsche shell.

Going to buy some of the hop ups if I can still get them...then lastly a new engine. Any recomendations on a powerfull engine which will fit nicely would be cool!
